It deals with prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of thyroid gland disorders; prevention and treatment of metabolic disorders, especially of obesity; diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation of the loco-motor system, and of other disorders.

At the Institute there are: 161 accommodation units, a restaurant with 370 seats, an aperitif bar which can accommodate 90 guests, the "Zlatibor Sky" restaurant seating 150 people, and a café-pastry shop with a terrace (60 seats), two congress halls, exhibition space.

Institute Čigota is a special hospital for disease of metabolism. Institute have block A and block B.

The Institute offers: a stationary treatment ward, out-patient-polyclinic, nuclear medicine ward, physical medicine, scientific research work, and the cabinet for balanced nutrition and recreation.

Facilities: in-door swimming pool, saunas, massage cabinets, recreation gym, weightlifting room, billiard room, internet club, boutiques, hairdresser's and cosmetic parlors.

Rooms: All rooms are renovated in B block 2007/2008, and A block at the end of 2008 year. All rooms and suites includes: bathroom with WC, shower-bath, telephone, color TV with satelite program.

THE ČIGOTA PROGRAM

Cigota is a popular dietetic-recreational program which will help you to get rid of extra weight, and enable you to rest, become refreshed, regain your fitness, and what is most important - during your stay on Zlatibor you will learn how to live a more active and healthy life.

The "Cigota" program is successful in fighting against obesity and obesity-related diseases, which are usually the consequence of a combination of disturbances and bad habits ultimately caused by modern urban living. The objective of the "Cigota" program is to reduce the noxious effects of obesity on health.

The CIGOTA program includes: well-balanced dietetic plan, program of physical activities, positive group atmosphere, basic information on the importance of correct nutrition and recreation.

• Dietetic treatment consists of creating a daily energy deficit by consuming food containing between 900 and 1200 calories. The daily recommendation is of five meals, taken at there hour intervals and consisting of fat and sugar-free food, with minimum salt intake.
• The program of physical activities provides individually recommended exercises performed in the gym or the pool, or walking tours. The frequency and schedule of these activities is coordinated with mealtimes.
• A positive group atmosphere helps to achieve harmony, triggers motivation, and encourages self-assurance and belief in one's ability to make positive lifestyle changes.
• Information on correct nutrition, supplied in the course of weight-loss programs, consists of lectures on the significance and types of nutrition, physical exercise, etc.

The Cigota program, optionally lasting from 7 to 14 days, is a reliable and effective way of regulating body weight while producing positive effects on health. This program is the first step towards achieving total and permanent weight-control and preventing the harmful effects of obesity.

THE WELLNESS ANTI-CELLULITE PROGRAM:

Check-up performed by specialist, TANITA analysis (determining body water and fat content), 5x exercises in gym, 5x exercises in swimming pool, 3x green press, 2x manual AC massage, 1x hydro-massage, 5x Finnish sauna.

THE WELLNESS MANAGER'S PROGRAM:

Check-up performed by specialist, Laboratory analyses, ECG, 3x exercises in gym, 3x exercises in swimming pool, 3x manual massage, 3x Japanese aroma sauna, 5x walk, 5x Finnish sauna.

THE WELLNESS FITNESS PROGRAM:

Check-up performed by specialist, TANITA analysis, determining body water and fat content, 3x manual massage, 2x hydro-massage, 5x walk, 5x fitness exercises in gym.

• If any of the above should prove inadvisable for a particular participant, an optional exercise/treatment shall be suggested
