The Kingdom of the Netherlands, located in Northern Europe, is a combination of past and present. A large part of its territory was "converted" into land by being practically "wrestled away" from the sea.
It’s a country famous for its artists, such as Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Bosch, Van Eijk, etc.
"Venice of the North", as Amsterdam is often called, is Holland’s pride. The city spreads over numerous canals and bridges and abounds with monumental and unforgettable Flemmish architecture.
The Dam Square, surrounded by the royal palace, the museums of Van Gogh, Anna Frank, the famous Rijksmuseum, the museum exhibiting Rembrandt’s paintings, represents only a fraction of the rich cultural heritage of this extraordinarily beautiful city.
Holland is a well-ordered country in every sense and one that brings to mind pictures of windmills and great fields of tulips, which have become symbols of this small but important member of the EU.
Schiphol Airport offers extremely good connections to destinations around the world, especially to North and South America, as Amsterdam is one of Europe’s most important air transportation hubs.
Pictures of Amsterdam:
